BSB to Perform Christmas Concert at Spring Grove Hospital Center

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD – November 25, 2014 – The Baltimore Symphonic Band (BSB), a 50 piece musical ensemble based at CCBC Essex, today announced that it will perform a holiday concert at Spring Grove Hospital Center, Cantonsville on Tuesday December 9 at 7:30pm.

The concert is for residents of the hospital and not open to the public.

“Live music creates a sense of excitement that turns an ordinary evening into something special,” said Christopher Wolfe, music director of the band. “Our varied program of holiday favorites will get everyone in a festive mood in time for the holidays.”

The concert will include lots of Christmas music, including music from the movie, “FROZEN”, O Holy Night, Silent Night, Away in a Manger, Sleigh Ride and other holiday favorites and will be conducted by Kathy Krawczyk, Eastern Technical High School’s band director. “The BSB always looks forward to our yearly performance at Spring Grove.”

Spring Grove Hospital Center is a 425-bed complex that provides a broad spectrum of inpatient psychiatric services to adults and adolescents, as well as comprehensive residential psychiatric services to adults. The center is owned and operated by

The Baltimore Symphonic Band is a 50 piece community concert band based at CCBC Essex. Unlike other community bands, the BSB is fully integrated with the Performing Arts instruction at CCBC and affords members the opportunity to receive college credit for their participation.
